Trading high humidity for dry heat in 2004 gave Daniel the opportunity to strengthen his array of Planning and Landscape Architecture activities and to create solid design answers to development questions facing both public and private clients. Within one year of graduating with his planning degree in 1991, Daniel had fast-tracked his career to become the Planning Director at the Southeast Georgia Regional Development Center and provided comprehensive planning and grant development services to 27 local governments. The award-winning Citywide Strategic Planning Program focused his planning knowledge as the Planning director for the city of Hartsville in South Carolina; his tutelage at LSU was crucial in forming his solid foundation in Landscape Architecture. He was fortunate to begin the second phase of his career at the multidisciplinary firm Perez APC, which has been producing award-winning design for over sixty years. Active in the greater New Orleans community, Daniel expanded his design vocabulary by working on community driven project such as the Natchitoches Events Center and the IHNC Master Plan, as well as historic park renovations and the enhancement of prominent areas in the Interstate 10 Corridor and downtown New Orleans.

As a firm associate at Larson & associates, Daniel sharpened his skills at projects theming, designing streetscapes and parks, project management, and creating complete landscape packages for residential and commercial developments of various sizes. He has been fortunate to design and see constructed such notable residential developments as Bella Fiore and V at Lake Las Vegas, as well as Madison Grove in Providence and Tiano de Terrazzo in Henderson.
